Pay attention to the interaction process!

Reflection

  • When you talk to someone about a problem, do you tend to highlight the positives or negatives aspects, why?
  • When you talk to someone, to what you pay more attention? your tone, posture, your facial expression?
  • How do you understand if your interlocutor got the meaning of your message?
  • Do you pay attention to your interlocutor’s feedback (even the non-verbal ones)? On what you focus?

Action

  • Observe your body and listen to what it has to say. Remember the last two times you spoke to two different people, reflect and answer the following questions. Where did you look while talking to them? Did you look them in the eye? How are your shoulders? How do you hold your arms? The neck and the head? How were they positioned?

Tips

  • Try making eye contact while talking to someone, as this will communicate sincerity and increase the frankness of your message.
  • As you speak, try to keep your body erect and still.
  • Keeping the arms hanging along the body indicates passivity.
  • Neck and head turned forward, indicate submission and little spirit of enthusiasm.
