Context of Innovation & Creativity
Creativity and innovation have been identified as essential abilities for the twenty-first century, particularly when these skills may increase human potential by eliciting positive parts of the individual. These abilities have been appreciated in a variety of contexts. In this section, we will look at the concepts of creativity and innovation in the context of entrepreneurship.
To proceed, we need to define and distinguish the following terms: imagination, creativity, and innovation.
Imagination is the process to think and combine different things and situations that are not present and can be experienced by our senses, in other words they are not real (yet).
Creativity is the process of generating novel valuable ideas that can be translated in various forms, shapes and context.
Innovation is the process of putting these ideas into practice by following a plan.
