Not linear

• The design thinking methodology is not linear; it is cyclical and iterative. It allows for flexibility and adaptability, and it is designed to be iterated multiple times. The five stages of the design thinking process can occur in a different order or simultaneously.

• The process allows for feedback and iteration so teams can go back to previous steps as often as necessary. The emphasis is on understanding the user and their needs, wants and pain points and using that understanding to generate solutions that are tailored to them. It’s more like a loop where you keep testing, refining, and improving your ideas and solutions until the problem is solved.
