Goal-setting action plan 

 

Step 1

Define your goal

Be clear on what you want to achieve with your goal. Define where you are and where you want to be. If you have alternative methods to achieve your goal, assess your them and decide which method will provide you the best chance of success.
Step 2

Prioritise tasks

Create a list of essential tasks that you need to complete to reach your goal. This step includes dividing your key goal into time-bound, small steps.
Step 3

Identify resources 

Consider what you might need to complete each task in terms of resources such as knowledge, skills, your time and tools.
Step 4

Set a timeline

If it is a big goal, set a series of small tasks with deadlines. A deadline acts as a “forcing system” to push you towards achieving goals on schedule. Make sure to include your timeline on

your calendar so your deadlines are visible and  can form part of your daily life and schedule.

Step 5

Track progress and review action plan

Tracking your progress can provide you with the encouragement and structure to work towards your goals. Modify steps to reflect 0r change your priorities and experiences
