Tailoring a strategic plan for work-life balance (WLB) needs the involvement of employees and employers.
The benefits and results for each must be clear and fair. As for employers, studies show that promoting work-life balance will encourage job retention, less absenteeism and better performance. As for employees, it is expected a lower risk of burnout, increased productivity and creativity and a greater sense of well-being.
As for actions employers can take to promote WLB, encouraging a flexible work schedule and a remote work policy are at the top of the list.
Understanding all parties’ benefits, results and actions will take us to the implementation of the WLB-tailored strategy.
